We are pleased to announce the 2011 winners of the Ronald St. John Macdonald Award from our friends at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law and the Canadian Council on International Law:
“In celebration of the life and accomplishments of Ronald St. John Macdonald, every year, the Canadian Council on International Law invites papers from students studying at the graduate or undergraduate level on topics related to CCIL Annual Conference.
Successful applicants present their papers at the CCIL Annual Conference to be held in Ottawa, this year on November 3-5, 2011.
Every year, the CCIL receives a considerable number of papers. It is no small thing, therefore, to be a recipient of this award.
It gives me great pleasure to announce this year’s winners:
Graduate award (shared):
Katie Sykes (Doctoral student at Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University)
Veronica Pinero (Doctoral student at the University of Ottawa; JD in progress at the University of Calgary)
Undergraduate award:
Michael Sung (JD, College of Law, University of Saskatchewan)
Congratulations to these deserving award winners! We are preparing more information about these winners and their paper topics for our website and will post in the next week.
