New Media BC has invited emerging digital media companies to submit their company profiles and proposals for a new “Digital Springboard” program.  The new program, intended to be an advisory service and mentorship program, will be administered by New Media BC with support from the National Research Council.

Emerging Canadian digital media companies interested in mentors, to work through business or technical related challenges, are being encouraged to submit their proposals to New Media BC by July 28th.

Proposals are to include: (i) a company profile including a track record and key staff, (ii) the company’s current projects and business goals in development, (iii) the particular difficulties or challenges being faced by the company or a project requiring mentorship and (iv) a sample of work (if relevant).

The new Digital Springboard program will match at least six companies with experienced experts in the digital media industry who will act as mentors and who will provide advisory services to the new companies for at least four months.

Among the eligible types of companies are those engaged in interactive design and marketing, interactive entertainment, digital film/animation and mobile content.
